Hose Monster!!!

Rockstar is doing her duty of keeping an eye out for hose monsters. I think she has spotted one.... There is no mistaking that face!

And she's off!! That hose monster has no idea what's coming. This little girl is fierce. This little girl is determined. This little girl is fast and you stand no chance!

She WILL eat you! And woof you. See example below:

And this is her after. Although one might think that she lost this battle with the hose monster- but this is the face of a winner! In my mind anyway. That's how moms are right?
My little winner.

And here is my little weiner! He stayed CLEAR of any water and nonsense that was happening in the yard. And he likes to swim, so who knew the reasoning behind his not wanting to let any hose water touch him. Reminded him a little too much of getting a bath, perhaps? :)

He was not amused by the hose monster and was even less amused when it turned on him for no reason and sprayed him. He ran in the house so fast and waited in the doorway like 'Hah dad, try and spray me now!! Mom will SO kick your ass if you spray that hose in the house. And you know it.'
Smartass.

Daylight savings ending- you are our Nemesis!!

I hate that it gets dark so dang early now! Evil, evil winter months. I can barely get home from work and load the dogs up to take them to the park, none-the-less try and get a good session in before dark. I'm going to have to start going to the dog park more and give up the frisbees for a while I guess.

It was 4pm when I took these pics yesterday. And look at how dark it is getting already! Oy. This is our park, btw. Isn't it nice?! It's big and in a fairly quiet little neighborhood with hardly no other dogs there, ever. I love it!

Some JERK decided it would be fun to do donuts in the grass, right after the sprinklers were on one night. And now this is what the grass looks like. Thanks, a**hole. Now our beautiful, nice, well-taken care of park looks like crap.

But no more whining-it's time to play!!!! This is what it looks like when we arrive at the park. I get out of the Xterra, open the back hatch, Rockstar and Kipp jump out and run to the middle of the grass to wait for me to grab the frisbees and their water. And then they stare.

Kipp has his stare down to a science. There is no denying what this boy wants!!

I like to drop all the discs right in front of them and then take my time putting my cell phone, truck keys, camera, and whatever else I've got, in one nice pile on the ground....just to torture them a little. :) He he he-mean mommy!

And eventually Kipp won't be able to stand it any longer and he'll grab a disc and bring it to me. He's just too damn cute!

Then we have a little session. Here is me and Rockstar attemping to do some freestyle. We're still new at this so it's nothing very exciting. Yet.

She is such a good dog though! She has come a long way in just the little amount of time we've been working on her 'tricks.' Maybe everyone's dogs are just as smart, and learn just as quickly, but I think it's incredible how well she is doing!

And we must not forget about the Dipper! He was sooooo tired, but still wouldn't drink any water. He hates to drink when there is something better to do, like chase a friz! No matter how close we put the water bowl to him, he says 'NO!'

See, now wasn't it nice of him to sit and stare at these for me in case I didn't see them before?! What a good boy you are, Mr. Kipper!

He likes to put ideas in my cute little Roxy's head and before I knew it she was begging for the same thing.

So we played some more, and decided it was time to go. Rockstar was reluctant, but eventually she started heading back to the truck. Kipp will finally drink water at the end of the session because he knows there will be no more disc and heads toward the truck too.

And that, my friends, is a day at the park with Rockstar and Kipp!

Camo Obsession?

What is with me liking to dress up my dogs? And I've also been noticing a slight trend lately. Dressing them up........and camo. Eh, what do you do? Take pictures!!! :)

I must have a weird fetish with camo, I think. Rockstar has a pink camo bandana:

And Kipp has a green camo collar......

And a blue camo bandana....

I don't know about you but I think it makes them jump higher and run faster!

And here is my proof! :) We call this "The Wall."

These are all the awards that my 2 little furballs have won this season. (Besides the bags of dog food, treats, toys, carpet spot-cleaner, t-shirts, and yummy/fun stuff that we already gave them. Heck-we even won a gigantic candle at one event! Weird, I know.) Pretty darn good if you ask me!

Yes, this is the way I justify dressing up my dogs. :P Ok, not really. But they don't seem to mind and I think they are adorable so there ya go!

Imposter!!!!

There is a Kipp imposter at WBCR:

Maybe he is just being Kipp for Halloween???? Because we all know there can only be one Kipper-Dipper!!

Is that not crazy? He looks just like him. Short hair, on the smaller side for a male, same markings (a few less spots than my boy but you get what I'm sayin') and GET THIS: His name is Tripp. Kipp and Tripp. Matching dogs, matching names.

Isn't he handsome?! I think so, but I guess I'm partial..... :) I'm going to meet him tomorrow and I can't wait! I just love the smooth coated little ones.

Jeff will kill me if I bring him home. Jeff will kill me if I bring him home. Jeff will kill me if I bring him home. Jeff will kill me if I bring him home. Jeff will kill me if I bring him home. Jeff will kill me if I bring him home. Jeff will kill me if I bring him home. Jeff will kill me if I bring him home.

I think I should repeat that all morning tomorrow. Because I just LOVE this little guy.

Trick or Treat!

Rockstar and Kipp did a test run last night with their costumes on to see how they'd do in them. All in all, I think it went pretty well. Rockstar is a champ and has already been through 2 Halloweens and had to dress up for one of them. Kipp was not too thrilled when I first put his costume on him. He wouldn't move.

Nope, not gonna do it. Not even for that delicious treat in your hand!

Wait, did you say you have my favorite snausages??

How's this?

Yummmmmmm, Kipp ate more doggie treats last night than he's had since the entire time he's been here. BUT-my plan worked. He was posing for pictures left and right!!

See?!!

What good doggies I've got. Happy Howloween everybody!!!

I hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween.

And PLEASE remember-Keep that candy up and out-of-reach of your pooches!

Devi goes home

Devi found her new home last night with a wonderful couple in Eagle, CO.

Devi Side

BYE MOM!!! I've got a new mom now!

We went to the park and she played with Devi for a while. She fell in love with her silly antics and slight uncoordination. I was sad to see Devi go, but I know she will get way more love and attention from them than she could ever need!!

Devi at the park

Ok, is this dog not the cutest tubby dog you've ever seen??

Devi Sit Stare

She looooves to play fetch!
Devi Runs Ball

Throw it again Aunty!!!
Devi Play Ball

All tuckered out after about 10 throws. This little girl loves to play but I doubt has ever been exercised.
Devi Down

I feel bad for the poor little sausage. She has HUGE potential to be a killer sports dog. She can catch a frisbee like Kipp, and is almost able to keep up with Rockstar in the speed department, it's just that no one ever played with her. Now she will find a family that will do all the things for her that she has been missing out on. You can't keep her away from the toys in our house and she will steal toys from Roxy and Kipp like she's afraid she will never get it back. No need to worry about that here little girl. You can play with all the toys your little heart desires.
